Melanie's firsts

Melanie's first day of school! She had been waiting to go to school since she was 3. She was ready and absolutely loves it! Her teacher is Mrs. Uechert.

Friday, November 7, Melanie figured out how to tie a shoe.
The next day, Saturday, November 8 Melanie figured out how to ride a bike. I told Melanie to practice learning how to ride her bike in the driveway as I cleaned out the garage. Jonathan came home and told her to practice in the street. In 2 minutes she had it figured out. She just needed more room to practice with. She was so excited. She loves to ride her bike everyday!

Saturday, December 8, Melanie lost her first tooth. She was so excited. She was eating cereal and bit on something hard. It was her tooth. She called me to tell me. When I drove home, she was riding her bike with her tooth in a ziploc bag between her teeth. She went to the Ward Christmas party and showed all who would care. She misplaced her tooth before she went to bed. The tooth fairy didn't want to disappoint her though, so she left some money under her pillow. But Melanie found her tooth the next day and thought she could get more money if she put it under her pillow. I assured her that the tooth fairy was smarter than that.
